ABOUT HYPNOTHERAPY

Hypnotherapy is meant to help you explore your subconscious — where so many of our emotions, long-term memories, beliefs, habits, patterns, and intuitions reside. 

Hypnotherapy is an incredible tool for exploring the roots of the beliefs, habits, and patterns you carry, reshaping and releasing those that no longer serve you, and tapping into your intuitions to serve your current self in kinder, more empowered ways.

USES
Hypnotherapy can be useful for:

  • Self image and relationship to self

  • Body image and relationship to body⁣

  • “Food feelings” and relationship to food⁣

  • Releasing limiting beliefs, habits, and feelings

  • Releasing feelings of inadequacy, unworthiness, and self-doubt

  • Connecting with your inner child

  • Exploring early life and past life experiences

  • Illuminating how early life and past lives have shaped you and can be reshaped to serve you better

  • Bringing understanding, acceptance, and compassion to your earlier selves

  • Connecting with your higher self to tap into intuition for clarity, direction, and empowerment

  • Creating new affirmation for stepping forward into your truest, most authentic self

  • Developing a sense of compassion and trust in yourself


TRAINING
I was trained in Heart-Centered Hypnotherapy with the Wellness Institute based in Washington State. Much of being heart-centered is being trauma-informed, being sure with every session to create a foundation of safe resourcing, offering patience and compassion, and allowing ample time and space for you to process.

AFFIRMATIONS
Each session is followed up with a set of affirmations that are generated in your session, sent in a beautiful, editable visual format for you to hold onto, revisit, and make your own.

TIMING
The timing really varies depending on the session. Time with hypnosis moves much differently, and your subconscious requires patience to process. Part of being heart-centered is allowing you that time. Most people in the end think about half the time has passed than has actually gone by. So it is good to leave some wiggle room just in case! This is why I block out 1 ½ hours for a session, giving us time to talk before/after and leaving breathing room just in case. It may very well be a bit shorter or longer than this.

EXPECTATIONS
To give you a bit about what to expect and dispel some common misconceptions:

  • You are lucid and in control the whole time.

  • 99% of the time, you will remember all that happens. 

  • Your safety and comfort are at the center of each session, with numerous resources brought in to help you feel fully secure, comfortable, and cared for.

  • You have total freedom to slow down, pause, or close a session at any time.

  • It is not mind control. You maintain control over your own mind and at NO point will you be clucking like a chicken! (Unless you truly want to!)

  • The pacing can be taken very slow if this is your first time experiencing hypnotherapy and you want to ease into it. For instance, your first session can be spent simply getting you comfortable with the experience and bringing you into hypnosis to access your safe resources and anchor them for the next time, without going deeper into regression, if that's what feels best.

PAYMENT

Always sliding scale and negotiable. Accessibility is sacred to me, so rates are meant to be inclusive for all income levels. The most important thing is that you get the support you need without it being a burden. I especially like to reserve lower rates for those who need it most, so if you can swing a higher rate, know that your doing so creates more opportunity for communal support. And if you’re someone who finds yourself in need of that lower rate, do not hesitate for a second!
